Spurned Advice

You know I would, I would do that,
without a thought, I’d stop it flat,
take my time, listen to reason,
all my excitement I’m gladly easin’
but remember please I’m not that rich,
I own no mansion, that’s the hitch,
my cards are low and so I fold ‘em,
I have no horses and so can’t hold ‘em.
