Down

Underneath the churning waves of ocean,
below the currents of the surface,
down in gloomy regions of its dark depths,
lies the peace of aeons undisturbed.

Across the faces of our multitudes uncounted,
in the eyes of a million passers by,
and the endless chatter of our teeming thoughts,
underneath is silence of the ages.
