World Kindness Day
If we would only be just a bit kinder to each other, just think how wonderful life would could be.
Remember the golden rule? Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. It's actually in the Bible. Matthew 7:12 is the verse if you'd like to check.
Yesterday at the museum board meeting I had two surprises. One, I got keys to the museum. A longtime board member stepped down, and I got her keys. Since I live right across the street, the chairperson for the board thought it smart to give me full access. I felt honored. The second surprise was a visit by a person who actually jump-started our dinosaur exhibit, but then skedaddled out of town. He is now considered a n'er-do-well by many in town. A person who promises the moon, but rarely delivers on any promises. He, and one of his cohorts, stated a fact I have yet to prove about me. Now I have asked the board secretary to go back in the minutes for the board meetings to see if I actually said what this person said I did. He also accused other board members of nefarious dealings with fossils.
Egads. Drama. High school all over again.
Be kind. Always. I need to follow this rule. I am as guilty as everyone else.
