There are too many people with guns.
It is just no longer fun.
Too many will die.
They lie.
Guns kill.
It is not cool.
Politicians praying.
Gun ghosts remain dead, voices crying.

The Pendulum is an eight-line poem invented by Etta J Murphy. The syllabic structure is 8, 6, 4, 2, 2, 4, 6, 8 with a rhyme scheme of a b b c c d d, as described and demonstrated in the following links:

The Pendulum is an invented verse form that features graduated line lengths. It was created by Etta J Murphy and was first published in Calkins, Haiku Highlights (July-August 1970). The elements of the Pendulum are:
A poem in 8 lines, an octastich.
Syllabic, 8-6-4-2-2-4-6-8 syllables per line.
Rhymed, rhyme scheme aabbccdd.
