| “You’re a lucky woman,” remarked the medic. “You have mostly superficial abrasions, no hypothermia”. Laura smiled weakly. She repeated the story she’d told the state police. She had ventured too far off the trail and become disoriented. By nightfall she was completely lost. She’d slept in an outcropping in the rocks covered with pine branches to keep warm. It all made sense. What didn’t make sense was the sasquatch - the giant, manlike creature who had found her and carried her down the mountain, leaving her safely in the path of the search party.
