My first slow dance
was at a party
in Berkeley

the band was hot
Tower of Power
You’re Still a young man playing
greatest make-out song
of all time

as I danced
really slow
getting into the groove
with my partner
that night

later wondering
how many babies
were conceived
after slow dancing
to that song?
