Summer Vacation

Summer vacation ends about now
as youth return to school,
but humid temps through which we plow
are nowhere near to cool.

Here in The South, it's sure to be
quite hot for months to come,
but it's still cooler I can see,
'cause hotter states, there's some.

Pool's a place to just cool off,
but working clothes seem odd.
They're wet like swimming in a trough.
Still, jobs get done. Applaud.
