chapter 3 faith falling
Susa

A small town with a stream running through it and one small oasis, Mahjeht a well-groomed scribe wearing a Sobek-marked robe of deep green and Nile blue walked into a hut by the shores of the temple, it looked like this scribe was feeling out of place with the times. Sobek funerary dolls lined his mantle, one for each that stopped his great grandpa from killing (reminder of his promise to Anubis and the nephews who survived)

"Wish you were here to see the Temple of your father; I will never forget the old ways and I'm sorry for not checking in earlier.

He gave a bow and left for the temple with one more look over at the mantle, as he exited the hut, he could see the town thirty-five was still asleep as the sun rose on the water. The temple had three floors.

1. The offering hall and Sobek nursery

2. The scribe library and healer sanctum

3. The outpost for temple guards (temporary) and sleeping quarters

Upon entering a young Sobek ran up to him with reports from the guards

"Morning Master Mahjeht, these are the reports from nightshift"(apprentice guard)

"Thank you Mogmet"(Mahjeht)

From here he checked in on the Bes chamber (Nursery),

"Ladies, how is everything here? If anyone requires healing, please see den mother scribe Kaljeh"(Mahjeht)

"Some are ready for our den mother head Scribe, and we will let her know"(Spiritual mother)

after his stop there he ascended the stairs to the archives (library) to check on the progress of the site-to-site transport for the stone henge gates. According to this beautiful lady in silken leaf garb (Elven offworlder),

all that is needed for direct travel; is to use the same element of the planet's material for the four available gates to connect. (Elven offworlder)

The library standing at three bookcases across five rows deep scrolls were organized into the five stages of current knowledge.

1. Agriculture-collection of plants and seeds, plus their info

2. warriors/guards-weapons by type and use/strength training for placement(ranks)

3. Governing ranks of the city

4. teachings-class schedules and teachers for that day

5. Heka training-type and use/sorting tests/plus training levels

Tables lined the rails with glow lamps on the center of each (put light Heka in and remove to put out), scrolls lined the table with each table marked by the row they represented. On the other side, the healers were switching out so the night shift could sleep,

"Morning, please let Den's mother Kaljeh know that the nursery requested her, there are mothers to be, close to time, and let Healer Grejha know as well" (Mahjeht

His last stop was up at the temporary guard's quarters- lined with spears, swords, bow staffs, and bows with quivers full of arrows on the hooks beside them. Mahjet was entering returning to his, reports and requests to go over. A letter was open on his desk,

(letter for building) Head Guard Setqua,

I have located potential sites in our previously destroyed corners and the old Katoh (teaching center). we want our guard station to be five stones (3ftx5ft) long, three stones (3ftx5ft) short, and six stones (3ftx5ft) high. (designs attached). Months passed as summer approached, and a warning alert of the ringing bells echoed through the town as le-strange creatures lined the dunes around them. Five different tribes of what looked like goblin crossbreeds waited for the warhorn to sound,

The tribes consisted of.

The seket (Gob-Serket) was a viper type in nature whose toxic breath caused amanita muscaria to grow

The serget (Gob-Haje) was of the Naja haje kind spewing foul winds and dense spore clouds and reddish/ purple pools to appear

The selkit (Gob-ocpion) were scorpion types whose very touch caused a toxic plant of crowfoot to grow and had venom of mercury

The Selkis (Gob-Tehps) had the bodies of dermestid flesh-eating scarabs and spread an algae mold that would destroy all vegetation

The nieths (Gob-Nieth) crawled on eight legs and spun webs everywhere they went feeding on some and using others as food for their younglings.

Warhorn: GRRRRRRRRR

A loud CRAAACCKK was heard... as a foul wind blew from the East with a rustic tan cloud and a reddish green mist covering the heavens above and grounds below opening up pockets of water (Tefnut-nun) and turning them rotten (Reddish/ Purple) becoming the (Asp-nun). Priests did what they could to pull people from the mist who became paralyzed.

. From the pools of the Asp-nun came crowfoot- a vine-like white-yellow flowered algae, they grew rampant as wildfire and quickly as the Nile in summer from the pools, as they crawled up buildings and covered poor citizens who couldn't making it impossable them to slumber. Blood veins moved as vines entered through wounds caused by thorns dragging the bodies into the pools stripping flesh from bones and planting vegi-dead (Plant zombie) pods.

Buildings crumbling: CCRRUUNN-BBOOOOMMM

Dust rose unto the tan rustic clouds as rubble hit the ground and lumber scattered across the now-green fields of destroyed buildings and pods.

From the soaked lumber and ruble pillars of white pierced up pushing aside rock and stone. Pillars 6 stones high (3"x5") with a canvas of green, red, and yellow with spots that could sprout thorn shooters.

Gob-Nieths cast webs covering the new dark mush-woods capturing priests for future generations to feed on. Survivors made for other cities as the body of Mahjeht hung in the webs and Mahjeun left carrying his father's sobek dolls with the new high priest.
