Dear Child of Mine

Dear Child of Mine, now fully grown,
this lady, that I see,
the fruit of gifts, which once were sown
fly now in liberty.

Dear Child of Mine, advise I will
as needed are my words,
but mostly know the greatest thrill
of watching Wisdom's girds.

Dear Child of Mine, my task is done
of discipline and the like
for now apply the skills you've won,
and drive alone the bike.

Dear Child of Mine, I'm glad you call
to talk so long with me.
I'm proud of you for standing tall
in strength, I truly see.
