(PPC6 Prompt 3) How you beamed Coming up out of the water Baptized with Our Lord Sent out on a dubious world! Weren't you twenty-five With me not far behind Shocks, my love, to our puny world Dancing a new dance a new tune? We immediately perceived the riddles That perplexed us, intombed us, Knocked us onto the polished floor Were only that: Riddles, God's mystery Weren't we twenty-five when Our new life began Tender from the wounds of Tantrums, greed and avarice? My memory is sharp I've not lost a step But time ghosts romanticized Lost ships, lost loves, even history But I remember twenty-five Your moist eyes locked on mine Overjoyed we danced knowing Time was just eternity peeking Into this world to find Us-Twenty-five and dancing forever!
