Bleeding Terror
         Prompt: Write a ballad featuring the 2019 Halloween movie Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark
         
         Fraught teens went a searching
         horror hovered, waiting, wheedling.
         Breath held, nerves taut, shrieking.
         Haunted, aged, blank-page book bleeding.
         
         Bleeding stark terror drop by drop
         Sarah scribes fear, cold, dark.
         Heart thudding,mind numbing panic
         pulse pounding nightmares mark.
         Hideous stories given life
         Bleeding terror, doom's spark.
         
         Savage scarecrow stalks, prowls
         a manic monster, wrath absurd
         meant to kill, Sarah's spawn
         lives its story word by word.
         
         Bleeding terror drop by drop
         Sarah scribes fear, cold, dark
         heart thudding, mind numbing panic
         pulse pounding mark.
         Hideous stories given life.
         Bleeding terror, doom's spark.
