A blog devoted just to my scriptwriting. That’s all I’m going to blogging about here.

A Very Good Saturday/Sunday
A Very Good Saturday/Sunday

Not knowing what it would be like to go to work yesterday, I left for work ten minutes earlier than I have been doing because I’m now traveling about thirty-five miles one way to get to work. As a result, I forgot to take my mouse with me to work early yesterday evening at six PM WDC time.

I thought not having my mouse would slow me down while I continued to work on the Part One Scene Outline for my Water Wars scriptwriting project. It did slow me down a little bit in writing these paragraphs, but it didn’t slow me down as much as I thought that it would.

After all, I got forty paragraphs written during my first twelve-hour shift this weekend. It was more like a ten-hour shift during this first shift instead of twelve-hours. After all, this was an early Saturday evening/early Sunday morning shift. This was a typical Saturday/Sunday shift.

It was very busy at work during the first twelve-hour shift this weekend. That’s why I was surprised that I got forty paragraphs written for this Scene Outline. It’s also why I wrote those paragraphs in a ten-hour shift instead of a twelve-hour one during my first shift at work this weekend.

What does that mean for this Scene Outline? It means that I averaged about four paragraphs every hour. Of course, nine of these paragraphs were Establishing Shots, and they are only three lines long, which means that the other thirty-one paragraphs were four, five, or six lines long.

So the other thirty-one paragraphs kind of evens out with the nine Establishing Shots. It’s not exactly even, but it’s close to it. It still equals about four paragraphs every hour during this first twelve-hour shift this weekend, and that’s good writing. At least it is for me.

I’m still not sure whether I will continue to work on this scriptwriting project tomorrow or not. I checked during my third Personal Break at a little after three AM WDC time this morning, and a new prompt hadn’t shown up yet. It still may show up before I get off work today, though.

That’s right. I started writing this blog entry while I was at work earlier this morning. Of course, I could have spent about an hour continuing to work on this scriptwriting project, but I decided to work on this blog entry instead. Why did I decide to do that instead of this scriptwriting?

I chose to work on this blog entry instead of continuing to work on this scriptwriting project for a couple of reasons. One reason is that I think forty paragraphs during a twelve-hour shift is good writing. Another reason why is that it helps me to avoid another missed blogging day.

It looks like I will be working on my Part One Scene Outline for my Water Wars scriptwriting project after all, during my second twelve-hour shift this weekend. I just checked before finalizing this blog entry, and there still isn’t any new prompt for the ‘What a Character’ WDC Short Story for March.
