Terrace robins light
Spring in the Carolinas
Camelias blossom

February's mask
Hides peristent winter ice
Mountain snow invades

Western Piedmont hills
Wait for March warmth to transform
Spring splash of color

True giving angel
Struggled in intensive care
Beautiful kind soul

Carried her neighbors'
Burdens as her very own
Blessed strong spirit

Fought hard to survive
Pray not to let her suffer
Remember her love

Give her some comfort
Wrap your arms around her pain
For those who love her

So many love her
May brought the warmth of sunshine
Her journey ended
