Seasons and Holidays Past items (poems and prose) are in this journal. |
I sat on a park bench in the snowy park watching for A Partridge In A Pear Tree. The backs of Two Turtle Doves gleamed in the wind, for him. Three French Hens were faith, hope and charity. While I waited, rubbing my gloves together I whispered to you with Four Calling Birds. The circles around the sun shined for you like Five Golden Rings. In the park, ice in the voices of strangers, I dreamed of Six Geese A Laying and Seven Swans Of Swimming haunting Eight Maids A Milking. Can you imagine this song while Ten Lord's A Leaping are hiding love in my snow-capped heart? Hot pies are steaming and the music of Eleven Piper's Piping fill the air. Christmas will come upon us hiding princes and ladies, as Twelve Drummers Drumming bring in it's celebration. This poem was written using the song The Twelve Days Of Christmas. |
