Poetic sketches of poems beginning with A through D |
| [ASR] Mixed thoughts scribbled at Cyndy Wright's home in Illinois. ♠♠♠♠♠ At Cyndy's table ♠♠♠♠♠ Magenta, lemon, lime. Plaid cotton drapes her table in mad hues of rainbow sherbet. Silk sunflowers beam in saffron, sit silent in their vase. All square and diagonal, lines run to ends of table and fall off edge, proverbial end of world. I sit where "there be dragons". But without flames to torch this pen to inspiration, I write only to myself. Yes, I am still alive. Here, beyond your edge of map and your knowledge of my world, Here, within the reach of rainbow cotton, I survive. Kåre Enga © 2004 Catalogue number: [161.332.IL] 9 juli 2004. |
