Pink rainbows
I read partyof5dj blog entry "Invalid Entry" and that motivated me to share my own glimpse of the sometimes astonishing beauty of this earth.
I stepped outside after a two-day seminar and a breathtaking sunset greeted me. An azure sky was mostly covered by wavy clouds reflecting the pinks and oranges of the sun a mere forty five minutes from descending below the horizon. But as I turned, I saw something not normally seen in the winter with 30° temperatures.
On the opposite direction of the sunset a bright and high rainbow shimmered in the whispy clouds. But with so many pinks and oranges, the rainbow shone pink instead of the normal spectrum of visible light.
I wish I had my camera so you could also see what I saw, and I'm afraid my words do not do the image justice.
I wanted to at least attempt to describe it, because it's just what partyof5dj said about stopping and taking a look around. You'll be surprised and amazed at what you might find that will give you immeasurable joy.
