WE DON’T HAVE TIME

WE DON’T HAVE TIME


We conjure up many dreams,
That is surely no crime.
But, for realizing them,
We don’t have any time.

For a full one year, students
Read theories, sublime.
Before examination,
They don’t have enough time.

Budding poets so often
Attend to only rhyme;
But checking up on rhythm,
They think is waste of time.

Spouses live under a roof,
Yet, lost in mundane grime;
For talking to each other,
They never do have time.

We spend a full eight-decade,
Earning, saving each dime;
Alas, for praying to Lord,
We hardly devote time.
