right afterward, "sippin' on some syrup" (by the academy award-winning three six mafia) came on, and he sang along, and he got to line three--

"for a trill, workin' the wheel, a pimp not a simp
keepin' the dope fiends higher than the goodyear blimp,
we eat so many shrimp, i got iodine poid'nin'..."

--and i cracked up on "poid'nin'"; he is one of the most articulate people i know, and for him to so completely butcher poisoning that way (and in the academy award-winning name of three six mafia, no less) was inexplicably hilarious to me, and in laughing about it--for a good seven minutes, i'll say--i felt cleansed and refreshed and about thirteen times happier than i've been in days. weeks.
