Catching Up on Blog Reading

I’m catching up on reading the responses to my leading entry for the last Follow the Leader Journaling Contest.

Laart1-Season of the Heart responded by telling about her mother, which made me consider mine and all the thing she’s did and does. I’ll have to make an entry or write a poem about her and post it to this blog. "Invalid Entry" 

gardengirl wrote about her definition of a hero. Quoting from this response “Admiring someone's qualities and viewing someone as a hero are two separate categories in my eyes.” I like that thought, it’s something that gives a me a lot to think consider and meditate on in relation to heroes. This entry gives a person a lot to think about in relation to heroes. "Invalid Entry" 

MaryLou made a stimulating point about heroes. It had to do with hero worship. I think that may be one of the problems with society today, humanity has a tendency to worship its heroes rather than just admiring their qualities. The trouble is that many so-called heroes have lead feet and when their faults become known person becomes disillusioned. "Invalid Entry" 

Crys-not really here says that heroes are those who live life to its fullest, those who overcame life’s challenges despite what difficulties they encounter. Another thought provoking entry. "Invalid Entry" 

Penemue made some very good points about heroes, wrote some funny lines, while revealing fascinating personal information. This is an absorbing entry; it has given me an idea for a blog entry or article about the founders of different religions. "Invalid Entry" 

Made an interesting entry, it made me think about growing up in Blackwell, Oklahoma. I never had a hero, in fact it took a long time for me to find someone who’s qualities I admired. It’s not that there weren’t people in my life who wouldn’t make good heroes. It’s just that the ones who could fill that position I took for granted. "Invalid Entry" 

Cappucine hero was an English instructor. It made me think about an instructor I had in high school. The woman I’m thinking of taught home economics and was nothing like the instructor described in the response entry. I haven’t thought about my high school years in a long time, maybe it’s about time I consider writing about that time of my life. "Invalid Entry" 

Pia Veleno is encouraging. It gets more encouraging each time I read it; I think I like the beginning of the last paragraph best: “Life is about your goals and dreams. Heroes inspire those dreams.” "Invalid Entry" 

auric wrote about J. R. R. Tolkien. I still haven’t decided whether I liked The Hobbit or The Lord of the Rings best. Probably need to reread them both again. "Invalid Entry" 

Lorien gave me a great deal to think about. This response concerned authors and their works. Stimulating and fascinating. "Invalid Entry" 

Well I’ve read everyone who’s made a response to my entry so far. I’ll check back later and see what the others have to say. I even commented on the entries either in the person’s journal or by sending an e-mail. I still have to review on writing.com and judge the entries to the contest I’m sponsoring. However, I think I’m going to check my other two e-mail address and then take a bath. It’s finally warmed up in the house and so that I can get into the tub without freezing. I’ve really go to get the shower rod fixed or the tile in the other bathroom so that I can take a shower. There is nothing like a hot shower on a cold morning or in this case afternoon.
