Hello, Members! We hope this news email finds you having an inspirational year! Please read through for some important updates and information. :: Season Tickets Wrap Up :: A very huge thank you to everyone who participated in this season's running of "Season Tickets" . On January 2nd, we drew the raffle and posted about it on our "News" journal: ("[NOTICE] Season Tickets Winners Posted!" ) All winners have been posted in the Season Tickets item located at:
Along with the winners, we've also posted the number of tickets sold and the amount of Gift Points raised with this running of Season Tickets. We raised a record amount, so take a look! Remember, if you are the winner of a prize, the specific details of your transaction shall be handled between you and the person whose donation you won. :: Add Your Mailing Address :: Writing.Com now allows members to add a mailing address to your "My Account" area. Providing your mailing address allows Writing.Com the option of sending you real mail and may allow other members of Writing.Com to purchase items from "Our Store" and have them shipped directly to you. Writing.Com will not sell your mailing address to anyone and gifting members will never be provided with your mailing information! To add or edit your mailing address, head to your My Account -> Edit Personal Information area... or visit this URL: http://www.writing.com/main/my_account/action/edit_personal :: Item Transfer Fee Reduced! :: The fee to transfer an item from one member's portfolio to another member's portfolio has been reduced to 1,000 Gift Points. (Previously, this fee had been 10,000 Gift Points.) You can access the Transfer An Item tool from your My Account page. :: Show/Hide Referral Preference :: We will soon be adding the ability for members to see which members they have referred to our community, the URL used to find the site and the date on which the account was created. Since this is to be new change, we've added an account preference that allows members to hide their username and handle from the person who referred them to Writing.Com initially. (Their account's creation date and the URL from which they clicked will still be provided to the person who referred them.) By default, each member's referral information will be SHOWN to whomever referred them to Writing.Com. If you'd like to change this and HIDE your username/handle from the person who referred you to our community, please visit your "My Account" -> "Change Preferences" area to edit this setting as soon as possible. You can visit this area directly at: http://www.writing.com/main/my_account/action/edit_prefs In this area, you'll be shown who referred you to Writing.Com... as far as the system is concerned, at least. If the member who referred you is no longer on Writing.Com, or if no one referred you to Writing.Com, this new preference will have no effect on your account. Again, you can not yet view a list of members you have referred. We will email another announcement when this feature is available. Thank you for your continued support of Writing.Com in 2007! Best wishes, ~~ The StoryMistress and The StoryMaster |
