This is my book of poetry that I hope to eventually publish with photos. |
| To you, I write these words. To you, I hope they are heard. In years that have long since passed, I have seen your face, heard your laugh, The time passes much too fast, As I cling helplessly to my crooked staff. The tomorrows loom before me still, distant, Yet near enough for me to realize you're not here. I lost your love and friendship in an instant, I didn't even have a moment to weep a tear. They tell me to move on and face the today, A world without you, with a smile on my face. They won't even listen to the words I say, It's like you vanished without a trace. But I miss you, I wish you were here, The world seems colder, emptier somehow, The dark seems darker and there is greater fear, I swallow so much filth I can't see straight now. But to you, I write these words, today. And hope that someday it will prove true, You will be here, you have not truly gone away. |
