For Sale: baby shoes, never worn ~ Hemingway That's what a real story teller can pen! So it's Monday and I'm desperate again! (that's why this is black and blue) I wrote a whole bunch of "6" word stories and then pared it down to these 27. They all aren't equal! The last two times, my favorites were axed by the WDC audience , so ... Here goes: Da Rules Tell me which ones tell a story. By that I mean ... does it evoke more than a poetic image? Does it create an emotion by what it says or leaves out. Could it be a prompt for a short story? This is where the on-line story-tellers can really help me! (says the poet to the novelist ...) I'm trying to determine quality not warm fuzzies, not "oh, I love bunnies" (I'm glad you like bunnies, but is it a story?) Strong response whether positive or negative (a laugh is great; OMG is better) is best. No response indicates that it doesn't work for you and probably won't for the folks here in Montana neither. A quizzical duh means I'm being too obscure or local. I'll be printing up between 8 and 16 of these. So please, just tell me: a. which ones work for you b. which one, two or few REALLY work for you. c. any comment you think is constructive. Last time the comments were precious. If ye be befuddled ... see the analysis by Thomas in comments. It's just one way of sorting, but a good one. I'll be giving out gps (unless you don't want any).
