166.38 Wet doll

Wet doll

         inspired by Pat

For the one-eyed mermaid
strapless shells clasp breasts
like barmaid barnacles scraped from ghost ships
of skeletons picked clean by crows, those
scrimshaw bones the dog gnawed through.
Blue bites and bruises tell her tale
of one-eyed mermen, waves and swales
of spirits rising, sirens writhing
slinging one-eyed thongs.
