Jinhee remembered when her father had once parked too long at a meter in D.C. and found his car gone. It had cost -- what -- three hundred dollars to get it back. Jinhee certainly didn't have money like that, and by the train of conversation between her two cousins, it was evident that they didn't have the money either.
