My poems for the Defining Poetry Contest. |
| Bright, yellow buttercups blossomed in my garden, Their winsomeness causing my spirits to brighten. Spell-bound at their beauty my gloom began to cease, As they lightly swayed their heads in the gentle breeze. My depressing mood turned sprightly and danced with joy, A beatitude flowed within that none could destroy. I was in awe of God's amazing creation, Their sheer loveliness filled me with fascination. Oblivious of my grief I became bewitched, Their cherubic pulchritude my vision enriched. |
