I travel the country on business, sometimes the world. Come see where I've been. |
Greensboro is a really nice city in central North Carolina. The weather was pretty warm this week, but luckily we had a nice air-conditioned room for the class. While I didn't get out and see much (I've been here a few times in the past), I did find a really nice place to eat. (Are you surprised by that?) One of the nicest places I've been to in this area is the Liberty Steakhouse and Brewery in High Point. High Point is a mid-size town/city about 10 miles south of Greensboro. They had some pretty good hand crafted beer there, and the BBQ ribs I had were fall off the bone tender. They weren't the typical BBQ you find in the south (vinegar based), but more the kind I'm used to, which I guess is a tomato based sauce. Still, they were excellent. While I was there, a trivia quiz started, so I joined in, but working alone left me a bit handicapped, so I knew I wouldn't win. But it was the fun that was important. Sadly, I finished everything, dessert included, and decided I should get back to my hotel. My next 'adventure' will be in Lima, Ohio (Not Peru.... ) ** Image ID #1840790 Unavailable ** Jim Dorrell |
