Twisted

Chapter 1

Janet scratched her head.
A pain shot down her back.
She wanted to scream.
She wouldn't dare.
She couldn't.
If she screamed she had a feeling she would be in trouble.
She would wake them up.
She didn't want to wake them up.
If she woke them up they would tell on her again.
She didn't want that.
She tried to move.
Her back and legs felt heavy.
Almost as if they weren't there.
A tear escaped Janet's eye.
Was this what it was like?
Janet glanced at the door of her room.
She could see the image of a man.
A very tall muscular man with broad shoulders and dark hair.
Janet's heart was beating out of her chest.
She wanted to throw things.
She wanted to scream.
She stayed quiet as a mouse.
He looked at her.
He had the most beautiful eyes she had ever seen.
Janet smiled.
It wasn't a happy smile.
It was more of a wicked smile.
A knowing smile.
She waited for the gentleman to come closer.
He didn't move.
He didn't budge.
He didn't even flinch a finger.
He just stood there staring at her from the entrance of the door.
Janet grabbed the knife from her dinner plate.
She cletched it with everything she had.
The wanting to throw it across the room was there.
Instead, she cletched it in her hand as if it was a matter of life and death.
The silhouette instantly disappeared into the hallway.
Janet tried as hard as she could to peer around the corner of the door.
He was gone.
Janet wanted to scream.
She closed her eyes still holding the knife in her hands.
