An evil twist to the usual things that go bump in the night. |
Bonnie started freaking out. She started pacing the room. "Here grab these and put these over there!" Bonnie ordered Emma. Emma glared at her. "Just do it!" She put the extension cords over by the table. Bonnie didn't know what she was doing but she was going to do something. She had to try and save Janet. After all, a person didn't know a person there whole life and then just kill them right, Bonnie thought. She looked over at Janet. Janet hadn't noticed a thing. She was humming while she was working. Totally engrossed into what she was doing. Bonnie emptied the wheel barrow and put the shovels back into it. She went over and patted the vent that Emma came in. Janet was placing candles all over the circle in the bedroom. "It's almost time," Emma warned nodding in Janet's direction. "Where does this door go, Emma?" "It goes underground all the way through the hospital. There are tunnels all over this place that do that. I can take you straight outside next to the garden. It's going to be hell with that wheelbarrow though! I don't even know if it will fit!" "Listen Emma, you wanna be the highest priestess or not?" "More than anything!" Emma replied. "Then you follow everything I tell you to do! Don't ask questions just do it!" "Hey Bonnie," Emma said. "Hey what?" "When we get outside and we bury Janet, we have to say a chant to defuse everything. We have to do it right at midnight or it's not going to mean anything. We have to do it when the sun is completely gone. It's no longer night and it's no longer day. I'm going to have to bring the book with me so we don't do anything wrong. That way Janet knows this is all real. Oh and Bonnie, one more itsy bitsy thing." Bonnie looked at her. "She can't be buried for more than three minutes. She won't be able to breathe! When we know she's been defused we have to hurry and dig her up. There will be no time after that! Or we'll lose her! We can't do that," says Emma, "then this whole thing won't count in the game!" Janet looked up. "It's time!" Janet said in a voice that didn't belong to her. Bonnie wanted to cry. |
