Type A Personality
So my idiot of a brother-in-law (don't most of us have one of these?) is always going on and on about how he's a Type A Personality and blah bah blah he's a hot shot at work blah blah blah. I try to be nice and smile and play the googly eyed stupid kid look just so my sister doesn't realize what a terrible job she did when she picked this guy out. She really thinks this guy is a winner and I don't have it in me to correct him every opportunity he gives me in his sociopathic I'm hot stuff stories. But yeah, so he goes on about how he's a Type A personality so that automatically makes him top dog in his business (he's a security specialist aka mercenary overseas well... WAS).

What he obviously doesn't know, and my sister isn't aware of, is that Type A Personalities are actually a part of a theory developed a while back to associate with different personality characteristics that may or may not encourage coronary health issues. There is no actual physical evidence to support this theory, but it has sustained some pretty impressive momentum in pop culture. Type A personalities are generally high strung, anxious, up tight, anal retentive, humorless, etc. Type A personalities are more prone to heart attacks than any other personality type by this theory's suggestion. Type B personalities are more laid back and for lack of a better description, the opposite of Type A people. Often times, I think of stoners when I think of "Type B" personalities. And then you also have Type C personalities, which you don't often hear about because these are generally associated with characteristics that you find to encourage cancer. Yes, that's right! Type C personalities get CANCER. Now do you see why this is not a very scientific thesis and more if I burn lavender incense and hang a pyramid over my desk, I'll get straight A's kind of superstition?

Anyway. Thought I would go ahead and enlighten the rest of the group with that interesting and useless fact of the day. :)
