Blog City Prompt: Do you have any unique family traditions or know of others that do? Do you feel that they are important?

I have a party for my family on my Birthday Dec. 21. With my son living in Minnesota, my mother says we should still have the party and I agree. My husband Ray and I have Christmas dinner at my mother's every year and New Year's Eve and New Year's Day at her house. We have turkey for Christmas and ham for New Years.

We don't really have a lot of traditions. I will honor the ones I just mentioned.

BCOF Prompt: Write a poem or story about an relationship with food.

I love food but wish I didn't. I enjoy baked goodies. I love eating tuna and I share it with my cat. Shrimp. I eat shrimp when I can. I eat a lot of chicken, pizza, bacon, TV dinners and I eat carrots, peas and creamed corn. I eat oranges and bananas at times. I am not big on meat. I could be a vegetarian if I had to. Food. We need it to survive.
