Prompt: Lyn asked if we kept a diary and how it affected our teen-age years. Highs and lows, run of the mill activities, etc. and how these things and daily activities bought us unexpected joy. I kept a dairy in my teen-age years. In Junior High, it was about what classes I was making A's or B's in it. I crushed on a boy but I didn't date at that age. I didn't go anywhere. I loved Glen Campbell and "Dark Shadows." I wrote what was happening on "Dark Shadows" and Glen Campbell's newest songs and albums. I was happy being in love with "Dark Shadows" and Glen Campbell. In high school, it was about being in plays, Beauty Pageants, going to basketball game dances, dating, how I was doing in school, crushing on David Cassidy and I kept my diary hid then. First kiss, an occasional beer party, meeting new boys and growing up. Going to movies, latest hit songs and my hopes and dreams. I loved my high school years but I hated school. I quit keeping a dairy in my Senior Year. It didn't seem important. I keep journals now. I have for fourteen years. I have two Blogs here at WDC. It is a good thing. I don't regret keeping diaries when I was younger. ** Image ID #2014341 Unavailable ** |
