Clouds, Ode
Prompt: ""Clouds are thoughts without words." What do clouds mean to you?
I like seeing shapes in clouds. I see animals, one that looked like Jesus and one night I saw a shining cross in one! Mom said after World War II ended, you could see the Lincoln Memorial, The White House and The Capitol in the clouds. This sounds eerie but neat.
I see clouds, I see a summer day that is calm and serene. I always hope to see an angel sitting on one but never have. I read a poem that a pilot says when he is flying, you can reach out and touch the face of God.
Prompt: Lyn wants us to write a poem with two stanzas and four lines that rhyme and start with Ode. Here goes.
Ode to foods that make you fat.
Ode to calories and a big, fat rat!
Ode to radishes and awful liver!
Ode to bad ingredients, don't make me quiver.
Ode to Chinese food.
Ode to the bad dudes.
Ode to everything bad.
Ode to bad things, I want to be glad!
