To be a teen
Is to be seen.
It’s not for everyone to know
Exactly where you go
It’s your secret.
You are desperate, deliberate
In everything you do
Your chores, they are few,
But you still gripe,
Say it’s not right,
That you should have to answer
To the grownups, it’s like a cancer.
You just want to be left alone;
To reside upon your throne.
