Quiet Thanksgiving

Prompt: Do you like a quiet Thanksgiving with family and a few friends or do you like being around a lot of people at Thanksgiving?

I like a quiet Thanksgiving. Just my husband and I as we make a turkey and all the trimmings. I bake a Halloween Funfetti cake and my son and his wife used to stop for dessert by but now he lives in Minnesota and we live in Indiana. This will be the second Thanksgiving he has missed. I will miss him this year.

I used to my aunt's house before I was married for Thanksgiving. Dad has a big family and they are so loud and Dad's sisters are so controlling and my cousins. I don't like being around a lot of people. My husband and I have our own Thanksgiving. I work midnights and when I get up, I just have to go to my kitchen. I can come as I am. I would welcome a few friends if they wanted to stop by but a quiet Thanksgiving works for me.
