Mastering the Life Changing Power of Prayer

I have seen great miracles wrought by prayer.
Beyond any doubt I know that when we make ourselves
completely receptive to God, He responds to our prayers.
As to how He responds, we should just leave that in His hands.
We need to have faith, and know that if we who are human
are compassionate and understanding, the One who created
us is infinitely more so.
But even the most loving mother sometime needs to slap her child’s
hand to get a point across.
She doesn’t enjoy doing so; but she knows that when the reason
alone has not worked, it is the only way the child is going to remember
what she has said.
Likewise, every now and then Divine Mother may need to give us a good
swat!
She does not want to give us pain,
but it may be necessary in order to save us from far greater suffering—
to help us learn an important lesson and
avoid missing the whole point of a particular
obstacle we face on the spiritual path.
