Getting ready to move is trying my soul. I am a few days away from leaving and lessons have been in overabundance. Yesterday I saw my ex mother in law at church. It was a bit strange. She came to KC to go to my former wife's wedding.
Our church is small. It was good to see her just strange. My ex severed a possibility for goodbye closure weeks ago.
She came to the celebratory meal after church. She is near 90 years old. She wanted and needed to say goodbye. I was at a loss for words. I knew only to tell her I was glad for our meeting and that opportunity that we have to love more people. She was misty eyed. She rarely cries. I was touched. It was as if my ex was saying thru her. "I love you". Goodbye!!
