Tranquility

Sweet musings of bygone days
When cares and worries
Were kept at bay always
Standing alone in gentle reverie

Tranquil were those days
To sing and dance in carefree abandon
Now just a memory
No sanctuary to stand in

Release, cry the heartstrings
Let go and let your soul be stilled
Take hold of childhood feelings
To let dreams be fulfilled.

Peace embraces the soul
When divergent thoughts lose their voice.
With the heart complete and whole
And we find happiness is a choice.
