We live much of life amid unique choices. Joy is anchored in The One beyond our life. |
Some Christmas cheer this time of year is all my heart could want, But Christmas cheer throughout the year is really greatest point. Anticipation for the gifts is like a movie's end, Our hearts in Joy to climax lifts, then where to focus send? When movie ends, then comes the meal, may satisfaction last, Return we do to life, I feel, when Christmas Day is past. But is there something we could learn by living Scrooge's oath? Would Christmas spirit cause me turn to charity and hope? Is Christmas just a day of gain for merchant's greedy hands? Is Christmas just a thought so plain for Christians and their plans? Could we dare hope, that Christmas bears a meaning for the world, That hope is for all souls with cares, apart from credos whirled? A Child was born, we celebrate, His cause is living peace, He brought Mankind this Gift so great, that offers full release. So, not of gifts we share around December 25, But hearts with Hope in Him abound with Hope for all alive. by Jay O'Toole on December 20, 2016 ** Image ID #2104648 Unavailable ** |
