Happy Hanukkah! It Shines!

This Christmas Day has come and gone,
but Hanukkah still shines,
from Birthday 'til the New Year's Dawn
the lights are lasting signs.

The lights of Hanukkah do last
through centuries of time
for Maccabees completed task
in victory sublime!

For one day's oil did last for eight
as Temple was renewed,
that worship of the One, Who's Great
would be eternal food.

We light Menorah, say our prayers,
enjoy the Feast of Lights
For Adonai, Who knows our cares
does light our darkest nights.

"Shalom Aleichem!" "Peace to You!"
our joys in light we know,
That Hope will last, when days are through,
in confidence we grow.
