FEB 2--My Name and Handle

Written for "30-Day Blogging Challenge ON HIATUS"  with prompt: Tell us a little bit about your WDC handle/username. Is there a story behind it? Are you personally named after someone, family or otherwise?

I'm sort of excited to read what others say about their handle. I'm often curious, but usually don't ask. I don't get around to it or am not so curious I feel the need to make a whole e-mail just for that subject or whatever.

My handle is the 1st 5 of my last name and the 1st 2 of my first name. That's what the university used when they first started having e-mail for us college students. That was my very first e-mail account too. So, when I went on to make other accounts and needed other usernames as I got more and more into computers and the web, I just stuck with Schnujo. It worked for me.

I'm Jody, spelled like a boy, though I'm a girl. That's because when my mom was 12, she read the book, The Yearling by Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings. She fell in love with the little boy, Jody, and decided, boy or girl, her first born child would also be called Jody. Fast forward 21 years, she was now 33 years old and pregnant with her first born. There was no question of my name. It was Jody. My brother on the other hand, they were still debating names on the way to the hospital. Poor second born, Greg. lol
