Barbie, First Toy I Remember

Prompt: Mr. Potato Head was the first toy to be advertised on TV. Lyn asked what is the first toy we remember being advertised on TV?

Barbie by Mattel. I saw Barbie on a TV commercial and I had to have one. Other TV commercials about Barbie followed. I had an original Barbie, Twist and Turn Barbie, Barbie with a bubble cut hair do, her sister Skipper, boyfriend Ken, best friend Midge, Barbie clothes, cases, game and I joined the Barbie Fan Club.

I still collect Barbies and I especially love the Vintage Barbies and I have Vintage replicias of Barbie, Ken, Midge and Allen along with Prom Queen Barbie on a shelf in the computer room. I have Barbie doll books of Barbie and her clothes and Barbies up to 1980.

Mattel. When ever I see the brand, I know I can't go wrong. They introduced me to Barbie.
