Happy Holiday

Prompt: Snow wants us to write about Happy Holiday.

Happy Holiday. I think of Christmas and when Andy Williams sings Happy Holidays. What makes a holiday happy? Friends. forgetting about the world's problems. Doing fun things on holidays. Putting up the tree at Christmas, presents, seeing Santa in the stores, a few inches of snow and the spirit of Christmas.

Making a holiday happy. Visiting friends and being around family members you can tolerate. Cook outs, good food, fireworks and remembering why we are having this particular holiday. We can always think of a reason to celebrate and remember military soldiers who gave us our freedom, the Pilgrims and Indians who celebrated the first Thanksgiving and Jesus at Easter and why he came to earth. Holidays are a day off work {unless like me, you work in a 24 hour facility} and is a day of relaxation. I always try to make holidays happy.
