Letters from long ago

I have a black lacquer jewelry box
And in it are yellow stained letters
Written from a time long ago.
Filled with your x’s and o’s
And sealed with a kiss just for me.
In them you tell me you love me,
You want to spend your life with me.
I’ve kept up with all of these letters
They are my treasures you see.
I would give up my diamonds and rubies
But never will I hand over these letters.
These letters are only for my heart to see.
I love you still till this day as I will until
The day that I will die, you are my special
Soulmate, the only one for me in my life.
