these are a collection of various writings I have written in 2017. |
Written specifically for The Traditional Poetry contest Words:155 Lines:33 I Saw Heaven By Lisa Noe Up in heaven, he’s the one who gives. I’m told that’s where he always lives. Surrounded by angels to many to name, Gone in a flash, I’d like to do the same. A shape in the sky, it’s time to die. I ask the angel “why oh why?” She looked at me with a grand smile. For that look I would walk for miles. The angel spoke “please don’t be afraid, Because all your life, you have prayed.” I looked at her beauty and was entranced, Where you will be, is quite advanced. As I got closer to a big old light, I thought how beautiful, a delight. We got there, and there I saw, My grandparents and my Pa. Happiness and joy is what I could feel, Was not a dream, it was so real. “You can’t stay,” said a voice to me. You’re destined to bring the world peace. |
