Back to School Again

When Summer ends, children know it's time.
Back to school when those school bells chime
And look forward to Thanksgiving vacation
Or think up excuses to skip school temptations

Back to school when those school bells chime,
Study hard for good grades is a mountain to climb,
Smile at the teachers, get on their good side,
Cause they'll need it when your brain begins to fry.

Back to school when those school bells chime.
It's reading, writing and arithmetic time,
Showing what they're made of when asked a question,
Which can sometimes bring on indigestion.

Back to school when those school bells chime,
The smell of new books can bring on a high in time,
Learning to cope, climbing that slope of knowledge,
Will sooner or later lead to going to college.
