Chastushka Story: "Onomatopeia"
On an onomatopoeia
trips the tongue like blast, So see ya!
Splash the water! Come and get us!
Push the lever and we go flush!

Honey, I have shrunk the writers!
In that boat they shan't be tighter!
Let them float a little while more
as our options we do explore!

Crushed we are by Batman's program!
Words are flashed in written show, Gram!
Biff! and Pow! and Kerblam! Splot! and
Where do we escape the gotting?

Run from Onomatopoeia!
Truest grammar! That's what frees ya!
Write the words that we are knowing,
Not the fluff that shows you showing!

Fair enough! I'd then agree with
Writing stories true not great myths,
But before we leave this poem,
What of writers? We do know 'em!

Wayne Szalinski showed me how to
Shrink my friends, but what do I do?
Drop them back in Batman's cauldron
Full of written words,...Enlarge them?

Tiny writers are exploding
Up to right size like a Poe thing!
Ne'er again would e'er I shrink them
Or come close to silly drink them!

On an onomatopoeia,
Whether large or small we'd free ya!
Give Batman his Crash! and Pow! thing...
It's just worth a meager farthing...
