Thanksgiving Memory

Prompt: Write about a Thanksgiving memory.

I was almost 16 and lived in Arkansas on the Air Force Base. Mom and Dad made their Thanksgiving dinner with turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, rolls, pumpkin pie and chocolate cake. The Italian family, our friends came over and bought us Thanksgiving presents. They bought us a turkey candle, orange cake and a yellow plastic poodle dog and a stuffed cat. I had never heard of Thanksgiving presents but they were nice. That night, we had the orange cake with our neighbors and left over turkey.
