"I am That"... and this is true for the very ripe soul with few vasanas (impurities) in the heart, but this is very rare in this world.
Severe dedicated and persistent spiritual tapas must be performed to weaken and remove vasanas (corruptions) so that God's ever present grace may come in to fill the void and liberate the embodied soul...
What is a false Guru? a false Guru is one who tells you that there is nothing that you as an embodied soul needs to do...
