Mirror, Mirror on the Wall
a sight tucked inside my occipital lobe:
skin showing
no wrinkles,
worry lines
cheap bargains
bad trades
tear stains
or that scar on the brow
when I fell

but the mirror spews forth
its capsized illusion
an old woman
heavy-limbed and slack
in half-hypnotized trance
cackling
at mishandled time
