"Why are we on this mission?" Sean adjusted the descent. "This planet is on the tipping point. It's our responsibility to help preserve the balance of life." Verni turned on her universal translator. "Okay. I get it. Ever since we had that galactic war, we've been on this guilt trip about the poor and suffering. But, this sh*t hole doesn't have a civilization. There just dirty cave bums." Sean successfully landed the ship. "Verni do not go outside until I've scanned the perimeter for morons." Duffy was not thrilled with the mission either. "Hey. Why not send the droids?" he said with a smirk. "Well, the radiation levels are dangerously high." Verni replied. She scratched her antennae on her head; "They draw demons with horns on their heads." She sent sent out the droids. A hail on rocks pelted the droids and the ship. "You see? They're cave morons." Sean sighed. "Well, I'll use the universal translator to .." Verni gasped as a giant ripped her droids apart; "Force field!" Sean had already engaged the force field and lifted off to a safer altitude. "Thanks." Verni replied and moved her long centipede body to navigation. "I really hate humanoids." Duffy said and added, "Looks like they blew themselves up." The crew viewed the ruins of cities over grown by the jungle. "That explains the high radiation." Verni shook her head. "Okay. Who wants to play God?" she intertwined with the crew. Duffy was ticklish, "I'll do it. Maybe, I can be a sun god?" The crew giggled. They knew it would take centuries to enlighten these Earthlings. "Do we have to?" Sean wound himself in a ball. "Yes. We must never forget our galactic war." Verni answered and tickled him out of his ball. Reflections~ Do you worship miracles? ~~~ <*> |
